Nur al-Huda Mohammad Nur al-Huda, Head of Azza Publishing House, was born in 1946 in Khartoum, where he received his elementary education. In 1967 he obtained his higher diploma in Library Studies. Khartoum University then sent him to the United Kingdom in 1983-1984. Following his return he worked at Khartoum University Publishing House until 1991, when he was dismissed for no legitimate reason. That year he founded the Azza Publishing and to date has published over 500 titles, comprising important works in the fields of thought, literature, and the sciences. He was interviewed about his work and publishing at the 2016 Cairo Book Fair by Azza Rashad for Banipal 55 – Sudanese Literature Today.
