Zaid Alamiri was born in Southern Iraq in 1956. He has an MSc and an MPhil in Linguistics, and carried out post-graduate studies at the University of California. A member of the Iraqi Translators Association, he translates between Arabic, English and Spanish. His translations into Arabic include Genetics and the Future of Man, Religion and Modern Science, and many online articles, including texts by Saree Maqdisi, Richard A. Posner and Giovanna Borradori.
