Fatma Naoot
is a poet and translator. Born in Cairo on 18 September 1964, she graduated in architecture from Ain Shams University. She has four collections of poetry, and has translated works of Derek Walcott, Graham Mort, Alice Walker, Jo Shapcott, Charles Simic and Virginia Woolf. She writes on cultural affairs for several Arab daily newspapers
