Lamia Makaddam
was born in 1971 in Sousse, Tunisia. She has an MA in Arabic language and literature and works as a translator. She was awarded the al-Hijara (Immigrant) literary prize, Holland in 2001. She publishes her works in literary magazines and online. She lives in Amsterdam.
