(b. 1967, the Netherlands) is a writer and poet, and international advisor for fiction at the Dutch Foundation for Literature (www.letterenfonds.nl), supporting the translation of books from the Netherlands. His first collection was published in 2000. His third, Toespraak in een struik [A Speech in the Bushes], 2008, was shortlisted for the Hugues C. Pernath Prize. He co-edited the literary guidebook City-Pick: Amsterdam (Oxygen Books, UK, 2010), and is the poetry reviewer for the daily newspaper Het Parool.
