Brahim Dargouthi
was born in Mahassin, in Tozer, Tunisia, in 1955. Since 1989 he has published 6 collections of short stories and 6 novels. He has won The Golden Komar, a prestigious Tunisian award for literature. Some of his short stories have been translated into French and English and he has translated a collection of Chinese short stories from French into Arabic.
