Giuma Bukleb is a Libyan writer. He was born in Tripoli in 1952 and has published his short stories in Libyan literary periodicals since 1976. In the late 1970s, under the Gaddafi regime, he was imprisoned for ten years in the notorious Abu Salim Prison, Tripoli, along with a number of other journalists and writers who were all seized at the same time. Since 1988 he has lived in London, where he works as the Libyan Embassy media attaché. He has published stories in Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, in his collection Tales from England and online.
