Lili Potpara
was born in Maribor and attended the general upper secondary school as well as the secondary school of music. At the Faculty of Arts she studied French and English language and started to work as a translator. She has been translating Slovenian literature and poetry into English (Litterae Slovenicae, published by the Slovenian Writers' Association). She published her short stories in the magazines, Literatura, Dialogi and Sodobnosti. In 2002, she received a winning prize at the best short story competition (Zgodbe na dušek).
