Dhabiya Khamis
Dhabiya Khamis is an author, translator and diplomat with over 45 published works, including 18 poetry collections, 4 works of fiction, 9 volumes of essays and 12 translated works. Born in August 1958, she has an MA in Arabic Literature from American University in Cairo and a BA in Politial Science from Indiana University, Bloomington, USA. She was a diplomat with the Arab League (1992-2009), and served as UAE Ambassador to India (2004-2005).
