Katy Derbyshire is a London-born translator based in Berlin. She focuses on contemporary German-language writing, including work by Clemens Meyer, Inka Parei, Dorothee Elmiger and Helene Hegemann. She is currently working on a novel by the Stuttgart writer Sibylle Lewitscharoff. Katy also writes a blog about German-language literature by the name of 'love german books', and co-edits the online magazine of contemporary German writing in translation, 'no man’s land'. She co-hosts a regular translation lab and organizes the annual talent contest Translation Idol.
