Nagat Ali
was born in Cairo. She graduated from Ain Shams University in literature and is currently preparing an MA on irony in the short stories of Yusuf Idris. She has two collections of poetry, and a number of poems published in the Arab literary press. She works at the Supreme Council for Culture on the National Translation Project.
