Suleiman al-Shatti is a Kuwaiti academic, short story writer, novelist, and critic. He is Professor of literary criticism at the Department of Arabic, Kuwait University. He is author of three collections of short stories: The Low Voice, Men from the Upper Shelf, I, the Other; and one novel, Elongated Silence. His scholarly books focus on Kuwaiti and Arabic literature.
