Excerpt from the Poem MURAL
Mahmoud Darwish's poetry book Jidariyya (Mural) was published in 2000. The main feature of Banipal 15/16, the double issue of the magazine published in Spring 2003, was Palestinian Literature and included works by and about 56 Palestinian authors. The editorial to the issue was entitled: Palestinian literature: Solidarity with admiration. The feature opened with an excerpt from Mural, translated by the late Iraqi poet Sargon Boulus.
